It’s been a long time since I was writing regularly in this blog, and nearly three years since I posted anything at all. Anyone who was following has probably forgotten all about it, and when this pops up they won’t remember who I was. I can barely remember, myself.
But here we are. I don’t know whether I am “still here” or “here again”. Some languages use the same word for both still and again… I need one of those words. I also need to remember what I was doing here. Looking back at the old posts, some of them seem like things I would still write now. Others not so much, but it turns out that I am the kind of person who is happy to airbrush history. I have deleted a couple of posts that I don’t like any more. So, now, they never existed. Unless there’s somebody out there who read them and remembers them. In that case we can just say that our visions of history differ, which is the way it should be. I’m happy enough here to rewrite my own history, but I don’t mean to mess with yours.
So, anyway, I’m just tapping the pipes, kicking the tyres, seeing if the key still fits the lock. If I can remember who I was, and if I feel I still belong here, I’ll be back. Let me know if you remember me. And, if you can, remind me what I was doing here.
